Sermon Based Dinner Small Group – Leaders: Pastor Hal and Dawn
Join us for a sermon-based Dinner Small Group open to all (No childcare) on Sunday nights. Hosted and led by Dawn & Hal Kooistra at their home in Brookfield from 5:30-7:30pm on Sundays: Oct. 4, 11, 18 and Nov. 1
Creation Care Workshop – Leader: Craig Billington
We will be discussing the topic of creation and why it is important to care for it and what caring for creation means and looks like in practice. We will read the book Stewards of Eden by Sandra L. Richter. The group will be a mixture of discussion and prayer meetings, taking hikes and tours in nature, and service opportunities doing ecological restoration activities. The book can be found at multiple sellers for around $10-15
Courtside Ministry – Leader: Tim DeYoung
Meets on Monday and Tuesday mornings at the Bridgeview Courthouse, 10220 S. 76th Av., Bridgeview at 8:30am – 11:00am. This ministry reaches out and offers prayer, provides scripture, and biblical resources to people in the court system. Come one or both days and share your faith and the gospel with people throughout our community!
Young At Heart – Leaders: Victor Burbulys and Doug Jamieson
We will do a 6-week curriculum study entitled: "The Familiar Stranger" by Tyler Staton. It will help us see the work of the Holy Spirit, in Scripture, become real in our lives. We will meet for 6 Thursdays starting October 1 and ending on November 5, at 1:00 pm. A Study Guide will be required for $15. A textbook is optional but highly recommend $15. We will meet at church. Open to all ages. Light refreshments will be served.

Join us for a powerful women’s small group as we journey through The Bait of Satan by John Bevere. Together, we’ll learn how to recognize the trap of offense, walk in forgiveness, experience greater freedom, and grow deeper in our relationship with God. Come ready for honest conversation, biblical truth, and spiritual growth in a safe and encouraging community. The group will meet for 7 weeks on Mondays 7pm-8:30pm (Sept 28-Nov 9). The book, The Bait of Satan, 20th Anniversary Edition: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense is available at various retailers from $14 paperback to $39 hard cover.

We will meet on Thursday mornings at 9:00am (locations will vary). Grab your stroller, a cup of coffee, and join us for a walking book study! We'll dive into Jerry Bridges' Respectable Sins, taking deep conversations on everyday life, heart transformation, and grace to the pavement. A relaxed space for moms to connect, move, and grow together. Little ones are welcome but are not required.

Fall, Football, Finger Foods, Friendly Fellowship, Fighting Shadows! This Men’s group will meet Mondays, 6:30 at Josh's house, starting September 28th. We'll enjoy good food as we read and discuss the great book, Fighting Shadows: Overcoming 7 Lies that Keep Men from Becoming Fully Alive. Then, guys are invited to stick around and hang out as we enjoy Monday Night Football.

The Upper Room is a gathering for men of all ages who want to grow in their relationship with God and build genuine brotherhood with other men. We meet in a relaxed, honest setting where we check in with one another. We talk about life and faith, encourage each other and make room for the Holy Spirit to lead. We pray for and prophesy over one another, encourage the use of spiritual gifts, and strengthen each other in our walk with Christ. Whether you’re new in Christ or have followed Jesus for years, you are welcome. The group meets every other Saturday at 8:00 AM at Brian Curnutte’s house in Forest View, beginning October 3rd.

In our last study, J. I. Packer’s Knowing God, the author commented that “All roads in the Bible lead to Romans”. This fall, we will study the book of Romans with an emphasis on application. We will read and reference Romans: An Introduction and Commentary (Volume 6) (Tyndale New Testament Commentaries) by F.F. Bruce, available for around $15. A study bible is recommended. We will also reference materials from the AG course on Romans at Global University. We will meet at Brad’s home in Western Springs on Thursday’s at 7pm.

This men’s group will meet on Thursday's 7pm to 8:30pm at Mother's Day Restaurant in North Riverside 8815 Cermak Rd. We will enjoy fellowship time together and discuss Sunday’s sermon notes and action points.

Growing together and getting connected through small groups is a major part of our church's DNA. Our Small Groups ministry offers a wide variety of groups catering to all ages and walks of life.
These groups meet in 4-8 week sessions that occur three times per year;
Winter session runs from late January/early February until just before Easter.
Spring session runs for about 4-6 weeks after Easter and before summer break.
Fall session runs from about September till mid November.
